The sera Scaper Root is a particularly filigree root ideally suitable for natural imitation of landscapes. Its color is dark brown already when dry, and appears almost black under water. If the root is to be placed freely in the aquarium, it should be watered before introduction as to prevent it from floating.

The sera Scaper Wood is a rather compact root attached to a shale slab. This allows placing the Scaper Wood directly in the aquarium without the need for long watering. The shale slab can be weighted and covered with some bottom ground, leaving only the root to be seen.
