Tetra Test pH to the reliable and exact determination of the pH value within the range of pH 5 - 9. The pH value describes one of the most important chemical properties of your aquarium water: the balance between acids and bases. All fish, plants and micro-organisms react very sensitively to drastic and rapid changes to the pH value. A pH value of between 6.5 and 8.5 is ideal for nearly all freshwater fish. The stability of the pH value is dependent on the concentration of bicarbonates (carbonate hardness value), which act as a pH buffer. For optimum water quality, it is recommended, to check the pH and the KH weekly at your aquarium water. Packing contents are sufficient for 50 tests.
