  This bacteria filter start product works at once.
  
  My filter capacity, Eheim classic 350 / 2226 is 4,9 litre.
  
  Instead of add both bottles, reaching 3 litre each = 6 litre, I waited a week before, I added the second bottle.
  
  This way I got maximum use of the full 6 litre bacteria capacity.
