Dennerle Staurogyne repens In-Vitro
The Staurogyne repens is an attractive plant from Brazil. Its appearance is somewhat reminiscent of a miniature Hygrophila, but it is an excellent plant for the foreground. It grows very slowly, even creeping over the substrate in good conditions. Staurogyne needs intensive light and a good supply of nutrients above the substrate. If its shoot tips are pruned regularly, the plant will sprout many new side shoots and you will get a very nice, dense plant population. In aquascaping, this beauty can be combined very well with Hemianthus callitrichoides.
