Aquarium Münster aquavital phosphat adsorber is a highly effective phosphate binder for the reliable removal of phosphates from freshwater and sea-water. It will also effect a reduction in unwanted silicate (SiO2). Raised phosphate levels in an aquarium can lead to increased algae growth. A raised concentration of phosphate in a marine aquarium inhibits the ability of stone corals and of other calcium carbonate-secreting organisms to synthesise calcium carbonate. The phosphate concentration should not exceed 0.4 mg/l in a freshwater aquarium and 0.02 mg/l in a marine aquarium.
The outstanding features of Aquarium Münster aquavital phosphate adsorber are as follows:
- high porosity for high dose exhaustion rates
- no emission of aluminium compounds into aquarium water
- no emission of PO4 after dose exhaustion
- capacity: approx. 50 g PO4 / kg
- surface area (BET): 300 m²/g
- particle size: 0.5 - 2.0 mm
Aquarium Müsnter aquavital phosphat adsorber is suitable for use in internal and external filters as well as in canister filters. The product can also be used in a separate bypass phosphate filter.
- high porosity for high dose exhaustion rates
