Which type of plant fertiliser suits your aquarium?
  • Complete and liquid fertilisers: for straightforward, regular dosing through the water column.
  • Macro- and micronutrients: for separate, controlled dosing when requirements are known.
  • Root fertilisers: for strongly root-feeding plants and targeted nutrition in the substrate.
  • Single nutrients: for targeted supplementation of nitrate, phosphate, potassium or iron.

If you want to dose macro- and micronutrients separately or compare different all-in-one approaches, see the products in the MasterLine range.

Choose aquarium plant fertiliser for your plants and water values

Aquarium plants require light, carbon and a balanced supply of nutrients. The appropriate aquarium plant fertiliser depends on plant species, growth rate, lighting, CO₂ supply, fish stocking and the nutrients already present in the water.

Liquid fertilisers mainly support plants that take up nutrients through leaves and the water column. Root tablets and capsules place nutrients directly in the substrate. Complete fertilisers simplify regular basic care, while separate macro- or micronutrients are useful for targeted adjustment when the actual requirement is known.

Start with the manufacturer’s recommended dosage and adjust gradually while observing plant growth, algae and relevant water values. Adding more fertiliser does not automatically produce better growth.
