AQUAEL BioCeraMax 600 ceramic media for biological filtration. BioCeraMax has a form of cylinders made of finely perforated material of unique structure. It is an ideal base for nitrifying bacteria of Nitrosomas and Nictrobacter species that are responsible for biological filtration of aquarium water. AQUAEL BioCeraMax provides crystal clear water free from ammonia and nitrites. Also ideally suited for pre-filtering and for protection against too rapid contamination of the subsequent filter material in the external filter. In order to maintain optimum filtration characteristics it is recommended to wash the filter media only in aquarium water as well as replace part of the media at least once every 6-12 months.
